Guest Shoves Olaf During Meet and Greet

olaf meet and greet

It will be no surprise to many Walt Disney World Resort Guests or Disneyland Resort Guests that people have been behaving particularly badly on Disney vacations recently. Guests have done everything from punching other Guests in Magic Kingdom brawls to abusing Disney’s dress code — and now, Guests are apparently hitting Disney performers!

A Cast Member playing the ‘fur character’ Olaf (the snowman from the Frozen franchise who is typically voiced by soon-to-be Disney Legend Josh Gad) was recently shoved by a Guest during a Character Meet and Greet. You can see the upsetting encounter in the TikTok video shown below, which was shared by someone who also seems disturbed to see Olaf knocked down!

Olaf was indeed knocked over by the Disney Guest who pushed him, but it is not entirely clear whether or not Olaf was pushed by someone intentionally or unintentionally. Hopefully, it was unintentional. However, because Disney Guests have been behaving so poorly lately, it does seem possible that shoving Olaf the snowman was a deliberate action on the part of the Disney Guest who was meeting him.

Olaf is a fan favorite among Disney audiences (which is saying something, since Olaf’s friends Anna, Elsa, Kristoff, and Sven are also very popular), so it is hard to imagine why anyone would want to harm the friendly Norwegian snowman who loves hugs. Do you think that the person who pushed Olaf over was being clumsy, or malicious?

Olaf has been honored in many ways when it comes to the Frozen franchise; the snowman even has his own standalone show on Disney+, based on an amusing scene from the 2019 movie Frozen II, and Olaf voice actor Josh Gad is about to become a Disney Legend at this year’s D23 Expo. Three other Frozen stars are becoming Disney Legends, too!
