Most Marvel fans already know about the new Marvel Studios film “Eternals“, which comes out on November 5th and sees the Marvel Cinematic Universe into a new, more down-to-earth era. Most Marvel fans have also been keeping an eye on the movie’s press tour as the A-list cast members (including Angelina Jolie, Gemma Chan, Richard Madden, Kit Harington, and Salma Hayek) traverse the globe to attend multiple movie premieres or film festivals before next Friday. Several of the actors in Eternals have made references to their characters, who are called the Celestials, and there have been lots of unique intergalactic touches in their red carpet choices. Angelina Jolie and Gemma Chan have been particularly striking when it comes to glittering like the stars–with Angelina shining more like metal in a palette of gold or silver metallics, while Gemma’s outfits have run the gamut from angelic and feathery to dark and almost malevolent. If you’ve found these actors and their characters inspiring, and you want a small way to show off your excitement about the movie as you make your way to its premiere in your local movie theater, then one of the easiest ways will be through makeup!
The brand Violette_FR has just launched some perfect solutions for Eternals fans or Celestial lovers. This French brand, by Internet-famous makeup artist Violette, has become known for its pigmented liquid eyeshadows. Two new shades were just released this week; since one is the olive green and gold tones that match Angelina Jolie and her character Thena, while the other is a shimmering navy blue that matches the supernova style of the Eternals movie overall, they seem like a fitting choice for anyone who wants to add a little nod to the Celestials while attending the theater!
Violette’s “Yeux Paint Liquid Eyeshadow + Liner” already has some matte shades that could be layered underneath your Eternals makeup, but the new olive and gold shade is called Scarabée d’Or. With its green undertones, gold shimmer, and unique color scheme, this definitely looks like a good match for Angelina Jolie’s unexpected but metallic ensemble at the Eternals’ L.A. premiere last week! It’s also a good match for the character Thena in general; even though the Celestials travel through time in the movie (since they’re immortal), Thena’s mythological and metallic warrior outfit is definitely the one that fans are going to remember most.
There are obviously plenty of ways to play with your Eternals look; you could go with something graphic, like in the images above, or try something pared-down that still lets you feel a ‘Marvelous’ pep in your step. Violette’s new navy blue shade, called Bleu de Minuit, is a good way to pay homage to the film and its characters as they spend centuries observing Earth. It could also pave the way for an easy Halloween costume, even if Halloween is coming before the movie premiere!
Congratulations; you’ve crafted an easy Eternals look for the Marvel movie’s premiere! Add some clothing that matches the colors of your favorite character (most likely Thena, if you went for the golden eyeshadow) or just a dark blue ensemble overall if you want to express support for the entire movie. And enjoy the premiere!
