Celebrities Flock to D23 Expo

Anticipation is high for this year’s D23 Expo, where Disney celebrities, Disney news, and sneak peeks will most certainly abound for Disney fanatics’ enjoyment. While we will be hard at work covering the live events here on Disney Fanatic for you (as well as on the ground at the Expo in Anaheim, California), we have also been staying on top of any D23 Expo news that has come to light before the popular Disney event has even begun.

In some of the most recent D23 Expo news, it has been revealed that this D23 Expo is going to have some particularly exciting celebrity visitors who will be thrilling guests for Disney fanatics to see (especially those of us who have a penchant for Disney+ content)!

Apparently, celebrities from Disney Channel, Disney+, Marvel, and Disney Junior will be in attendance. Old-school Disney Channel celebrities who are attending the event include Raven-Symoné (who starred on That’s So Raven, raved about her time with Dame Julie Andrews on the 2004 film Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement, and now stars in Raven’s Home) as well as Daniel Povenmire (who created the popular animated Phineas and Ferb series).

Raven-Symoné will actually be hosting the portion of the Expo called Disney’s Epic Entertainment Showcase: The Musical: The Extravaganza!, in fact! Former Full House star John Stamos will also be in attendance, which is no surprise since he is a massive Disney fan who visits Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort frequently!

Marvel star Brie Larson will be there, due to the new series that she has executive produced and directed called Growing Up, while Disney Legend Tim Allen (known for voicing Buzz Lightyear) will be making an appearance and renowned actress Catherine Zeta-Jones will also be gracing the stage with her presence.

Catherine Zeta-Jones is actually making her way onto Disney headlines because the Chicago actress, singer, and Broadway performer is playing a part in the eagerly-anticipated new National Treasure series.

So not only will D23 Expo attendees be seeing a Broadway icon, but they will also be treated to a visit from the other cast members in the National Treasure: Edge of History series — which includes the actress Lisette Olivera (shown above), who is playing the new protagonist taking up the mantle from Benjamin Gates!

Shang-Chi actress and martial arts legend Michelle Yeoh will also be present, due to her role in American Born Chinese, and the cast of High School Musical: The Musical: The Series will also be attending the vent.

Many fans of Percy Jackson have been anxious to hear or see progress in regards to the new Percy Jackson and the Olympians series that is underway for Disney+ — and that is meant to be a second chance after the first attempt to bring Rick Riordan’s famously-high-quality books onscreen failed tremendously.

Now, Rick Riordan himself will be showing up at the Expo in Anaheim, California — and he is bringing “special guests”, which we can only hope means that Rick Riordan will be accompanied by the three stars of his Percy Jackson series (shown above)!

Stars of the Disney Channel Original Movie ZOMBIES 3 will be in attendance, too — and since the D23 Expo is opening with the Disney Legend ceremony, there will be many other celebrities who are being honored at the start of the exciting weekend (including not one, but four Frozen stars)!
