Not only is Walt Disney World Resort the most magical place on Earth, but it also happens to be one of the most photographed ones as well. One only needs to search Instagram posts on the web daily to find a vast and versatile collaboration of different images taken from all around Disney World’s Parks and Resorts. Some contested spots, however, are so widely and consistently featured as photo backdrops, it would seem that they get reposted every hour on the hour. So, what are some of the noted locations that never cease trending in the public’s eye?  We’ve got a lineup of the top 10 Instagrammed spots all throughout Walt Disney World Resort.

10. The Wonderful Walls of Disney (Various Locations)

Believe it or not, some of the most Instagrammed backdrops to be found throughout Walt Disney World Resort are actually walls. Various buildings and attractions all around sport walls that feature ornate color schemes or uniquely intricate design patterns that work well in serving as the ideal background setting for portraits and selfies. While opinions may vary from person to person on which ones are more appealing, here are some of the most common wall locations throughout Disney World that continue to attract photo-ready folks:

  • The Purple Wall (located just at the entrance of Tomorrowland Magic Kingdom Park)
  • The Neon Mickey Wall (at Disney’s Contemporary Resort)
  • “You are Most Beautiful” Wall (found within Animal Kingdom Park)

  • The Flower Power Wall (on location at Disney’s Pop Century Resort)
  • The Cotton Candy Wall (at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort)
  • The Blueberry and Bubblegum Walls (both located outside of Spaceship Earth in EPCOT)
  • The Muppets Wall (found on Grand Avenue within Hollywood Studios)
  • The Block Wall and Popsicle Wall (both within Toy Story Land at Hollywood Studios)

9. The Tangled-themed Bathroom/Rest Area, Magic Kingdom

That’s right, there’s at least one bathroom at Walt Disney World Resort serving as the setting for countless Instagram posts. But what do you expect from such a whimsically themed water closet inspired by none other than Disney’s Tangled? Rightfully located within Magic Kingdom Park’s Fantasyland, the entire external rest area as well as the actual restroom interiors themselves follow an imaginative motif taken straight out of the 2010 computer-animated hit film we all know and love so well.

What’s perhaps most fascinating about the Instagramming done at this spot, in particular, is the versatility of options. Different backdrops taken from this same area all tend to trend comparably, whether snapped from within the interior or from the outside.

8. The Torii Gate at the Japan Pavilion, EPCOT

This symbolic red arch, which stands regally overlooking EPCOT’s World Showcase Lagoon, is another object of excessive Instagramming. According to D23, it was actually modeled after the existing floating torii of Itsukushima Shrine on Miyajima. Disney’s version isn’t only photogenic for its successful duplicated presentation, but also for the vantage point you get when looking through the archway and beyond. This is one of the reasons why snapping a shot at this landmark, in particular, is so popular.

On a secondary note, there are many other Instagram-worthy sights to see all throughout EPCOT’s World Showcase Pavilion. Some other noted areas that get photographed frequently include the “Fountain” within the Italy Pavilion (along with several murals and the notable “donkey cart”), the Bridge between the France and United Kingdom Pavilions, and various locations throughout the Morocco Pavilion.

7. Valley of Mo’ara Floating Mountains in Pandora, Animal Kingdom

Let’s be honest, there are numerous Instagrammable captures awaiting you within the Animal Kingdom’s newest land, Pandora – The World of Avatar. To list them all would be difficult to do, as just about everything within this other-worldly world makes it into frequent postings. But one repeat that’s gotten considerable attention is the Valley of Mo’ara Floating Mountains. Various vantage points both within the area specifically as well as seen in the background trend on an equally rolling basis.

6. Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Guitar, Hollywood Studios 

Many rides in and of themselves make it into Instagram posts every day, but given the fact that the high-speed Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith attraction is a dark ride set entirely indoors, the eye candy here is really in its larger-than-life iconic Red Guitar right outside the building’s entrance. Standing under the sign and archway also offers up a most befitting Instagram capture as well, especially if you can manage to get both the ride sign with its car along with the famed Guitar all in one shot.

5. Gardens and Topiaries (Various Locations)

Disney World has no shortage of beautiful gardens and topiaries. They especially dominate the scene around various seasonal events like EPCOT’s International Flower & Garden Festival and their International Food & Wine Festival. But many can be seen elsewhere all throughout the different Parks and at numerous Resorts in addition.

Consisting of such a broad category that’s always in abundant supply, wherever you are within Walt Disney World Resort, it goes without saying that gardens and topiaries always make it into countless Instagram posts regularly. While locations vary, some places that get the most attention, in EPCOT specifically, include The Finding Nemo-themed Garden outside of the Living Seas Pavilion, the Rose Garden Path in the United Kingdom Pavilion, and Victoria Gardens within the Canada Pavilion.

4. Expedition Everest, Animal Kingdom

In getting back to the idea of Park attractions serving as the optimal backdrop for photo ops, we present this mountainous presentation. While the ride itself is admittedly where the bulk of its thrill factor is based, the awe-inspiring presentation of its zenith standing as a frequent Instagram feature cannot be overlooked.

3. Tree of Life, Animal Kingdom

We’ve already covered two Park locations that make the grade as constantly contested Instagram re-postings, but it is perhaps the Animal Kingdom’s iconic Tree of Life that takes the cake in timeless, forever-trending, popularity. For all intents and purposes, it serves as the very face of the Park and has been so all along.

Whether photographed far and in full view as a befitting background or zoomed in to include some of the intricate animal carvings in the trunk, the Tree of Life continues to prevail as the driving life force behind some of the best Instagram features about Disney World.

2. Spaceship Earth, EPCOT

Upon arriving at EPCOT, many folks like to get the ball rolling immediately by capturing that iconic 165-foot geodesic sphere that houses the Park’s famed Spaceship Earth attraction. Photographed from many different angles and vantage points, the casually-referred-to “EPCOT Ball” is a forever-trending frequent star of countless Instagram posts.

1. Cinderella Castle, Magic Kingdom

It goes without saying that every Park’s most iconic landmarks are always in style as frequent Instagram trendsetters. And the Magic Kingdom’s most obvious object on Instagram is, of course, the one and only Cinderella Castle. While many like to take studded stops along Main Street, U.S.A. to capture such sites as window displays and a host of other surrounding spectacles, photographing the Castle is the ultimate rite of passage for visitors to Walt Disney World Resort.

Whether you shoot it during the early morning hours or plan your screen captures around the dazzling Nighttime Spectacular, Cinderella Castle remains, hands down, the most widely photographed image in all of Walt Disney World Resort.
