While it’s true that some folks choose a meager, limited vegetable pairing as a side to go along with a grander entrée, there are others who elect to have their veritable vegetables serve as the entrée itself. And those vacationers opting for such are in luck, as both the Walt Disney World Resort and neighboring Disney Springs offer an abundance of uniquely satisfying salad concoctions that steal the show. Whether you are the ultimate salad fan or just looking to try out new and original salad creations in general, we’re supplying you with this list of top 20 salads to check out in Disney World for the 2022 year.

20. Our Famous Cobb Salad

This featured salad at The Hollywood Brown Derby in Disney’s Hollywood Studios is the stuff that legends are made of. Prepared table side and utilizing the original founding recipe harkening back to the 1930s when it was first invented, this entrée salad packs a punch. It comes as a collaboration of bacon, ham, turkey, tomato, egg, blue cheese, avocado, and chives, all mixed well together with a classic house dressing. Additional add-ons like chicken and shrimp are also available at a diner’s request.

19. Buffalo Chicken Salad

Over at Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater, you can sink your teeth into many out-of-this-world, unfathomable eats, including this entrée salad that takes all you ever thought you knew about chicken salad to unimaginable new heights. Gorge yourself in this mixed green compilation, which tosses together fried chicken strips, bacon, tomato, red onion, cucumber, shredded cheese, and spicy buffalo sauce, garnished with fried tortilla strips and a cilantro-ranch dressing.

Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’ over in Disney Springs has its own house specialty Fried Chicken Salad. Their presentation comes as crispy fried chicken, combined with mixed greens, pecan-smoked bacon, tomato, onion, cucumber, and egg, tossed together with icebox dressing, cheddar-biscuit croutons, and fresh herbs.

While this one is the contested favorite for most, other fanciful entrée salad concoctions worth trying here include the delightful Harvest Salad and the 1981 Salad. The former is a mixed-green tossed presentation with fire-roasted peppers and corn, shredded cheddar cheese, cherry tomatoes and house-made balsamic dressing, topped off with grilled chicken, avocado, and hushpuppies. The second item is a bountiful blend of lettuce and spring mix greens, with honey ham, roasted artichoke, tomato, Swiss cheese, Spanish olives, and a combination sauce blend of Worcester, lemon juice, olive oil, garlic, and vinegar.


17. Chicago-style “Hot Dog” Salad

For another unique original we head back over to Disney’s Hollywood Studios, stopping in at Fairfax Fare for a salad specialty which is nothing it sounds like. For starters, it is a plant-based presentation that doesn’t include any meat at all. It is a bountiful blending of romaine, plant-based bratwurst, sliced sport peppers, tomatoes, onions, house-made dill pickle, sweet relish, mustard, and poppy and celery seed brioche croutons, tossed together in a neon green relish vinaigrette.

16. Greens and Grains Salad

Over at Disney’s Animal Kingdom you will find this power-packed salad being served up as the primary plant-based feature on the menu at Pizzafari. Here you have a bed of mixed greens topped off with garbanzo and white beans, kalamata olives, red onion, pepperoncini, and tomato, mixed together with quinoa and served up in green goddess dressing.

15. Restaurantosaurus Cobb Salad

Onsite at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park, you can take delight in another house featured rendition of the traditional Cobb Salad. For this one, you’ll want to head on over to Restaurantosaurus where their deliverance includes a mix of fresh greens paired with tomato, cucumber, hard-boiled egg, bacon, blue cheese, and green goddess dressing. They also have a variation that tops off the presentation with chicken.

14. Smokehouse Chicken Salad

Speaking of chicken, while still spotlighting quick-service sites within the Animal Kingdom, you may just want to head to Flame Tree Barbecue. Here is an enticing entrée salad in deed, which comes as pulled-chicken on a bed of mixed greens, tossed with smoked cheddar, diced granny smith apples, dried cranberries, cornbread croutons, crispy onion, and barbecue-ranch dressing.

13. Caribbean-spiced Salad

Now that Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park has finally reopened, there’s plenty to rejoice in. And for those deciding to basking in the glory of a daylong outing here, know that all your favorite food stops are also back and in full operation. So if you were ever a fan of this one-of-a-kind tropical salad favorite featured at Leaning Palms, it’s finally back! And for those that haven’t tried it, here’s a delightful jerk-seasoned chicken compilation tossed together with mixed greens, dried fruit, cucumber, tomato, and house-made tropical vinaigrette dressing.

12. ’Ohana’s Mixed Greens Salad

While this featured accompaniment offered during dinnertime at this famed family-style favorite onsite at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort may sound underwhelming, it really isn’t your typical mixed green rendition. In fuses together chow mein noodles, mandarin orange slices, dried cranberries, and aforesaid mixed greens, topped with a unique signature citrus-based dressing.


11. Strawberry Salad

The well-known signature restaurant we know as Cítricos, over at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, features this favored first course favorite salad selection. Here you have chamomile-infused goat cheese, mixed with frisée lettuce, bacon vinaigrette, and spiced sunflower seeds, all working in coordination with the salad’s starring strawberries to top things off.

10. Endive and Pear Salad

Narcoossee’s is another well-known signature venue over at the Grand Floridian with a bountiful salad selection worth praising. For this presentation, you get a flavorful burst of gorgonzola, mixed together with candied walnuts, and maple tarragon vinaigrette, accompanying both the endive and pear pairings.

9. Heirloom Apple Salad

While pears are all fine and dandy, this apple-based salad selection offers up the ultimate flavorful sendoff over at California Grill, located onsite at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. An entirely plant-based presentation, this salad carefully combines roasted honeynut squash, radicchio, vegan-based feta cheese made from an almond component, pepita granola, and a garnishing verjus vinaigrette dressing.

8. Southwest Salad

Next, we head on over to Disney’s Magic Kingdom Park for a little peek in over at that famed quick-service hit, Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Café. And it is here where you will find three unique renditions of their house specialty Southwest Salad. All contain the same basic format of mixed greens, roasted corn, bean salsa, tomato, and tortilla crisps. But depending on one’s hankering, you can either top it off with chicken or pork carnitas. For a plant-based delight, no additional toppings are needed.

7. Harbor Island Tropical

Over at Disney Springs you will find the truly “American” fusion table restaurant Paradiso 37, Taste of Americas. And it is here that you can enjoy this house exclusive salad, comprising of fresh pineapple, bacon, and toasted coconut, all tossed together in a pineapple vinaigrette.  Another salad hit we’ve found fans raving most adamantly about is the Sonora Ranchero, which comes as a wedge of iceberg lettuce in combination with a six oz. steak, applewood-smoked bacon, queso fresco, tomatoes, and chipotle ranch.

6. Chop Chop Salads

Yak & Yeti Restaurant is one of our favorite Animal Kingdom-based table-service dining destinations. And for those looking to keep things lighter in the way of menu selections, you should note that they have taken chopped house salad selections to the next level with their Chop Chop Chicken and Chop Chop Shrimp features. Both share the basics as a combination of chopped romaine lettuce, red Napa cabbage, and carrots, tossed in a miso sesame dressing and garnished with crispy wontons. But the featured components of either marinated grilled chicken or shrimp is what sets each one apart. For something entirely different, they also offer an enticing Seared Tuna Salad, which comes as chilled, seared blackened ahi tuna on a bed of mixed greens with grape tomatoes, crispy wontons, and ginger dressing.

5. Citrus Salmon Salad

You’ll find plenty to set your Irish eyes (or not so Irish eyes) smiling on the menu at Raglan Road Restaurant, over at Disney Springs. But this tangy tantalization is worthy of the highest praises, as far as salads go. Here you can gorge yourself in a North Atlantic salmon filet, resting on a bed of mixed greens with charred pickle pearl onions, smoked almonds, and carrots, decked out in a house citrus dressing.

4. Grilled Portobello Salad

Geyser Point Bar & Grill at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge offers plenty of palatable plates to take delight in, all of the rustic rendition. And if you like grilled portobello, then you simply must try their varied takes of their signature classic Grilled Portobello Salad. All come as grilled portobello with zucchini, roasted red peppers, and onion, with customizations that include adding chicken, salmon, tomatoes, etc. dressings include either a goat cheese-based blend or a citrus vinaigrette.

3. Earl’s Cobb Salad

While Earl of Sandwich in Disney Springs if most obviously famed for being the reputed go-to sandwich stop, they too feature various uniquely personalized salad offerings. Among menu highlights in this category is their own take on the traditional cobb salad. In this case they present a blend of mixed greens, grilled chicken, bacon, cheddar, tomatoes, cucumber, cranberries, and ranch dressing. Other mouthwatering menu selections of a salad making here include their stellar Greek Salad, Caprese Salad, and Chicken Caesar.

2. Power Salad

While making your rounds within EPCOT one of the most convenient quick-service stops to make is one at Sunshine Seasons Food Court in the Land Pavilion. And for a fuel-filled powering up, you should consider this satisfying salad, which fuses together oak-fired chicken, quinoa, and almonds, tossed together with a honey vinaigrette. Another unique salad to consider is the Asian Vegetable Noodle Salad, which includes wakame, tuna poke, and a spicy mayo blend.

1. Saratoga Salad

One of the best ways to pamper your palate is to head on over to the Artist’s Palette at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa. And if you want something truly unique in the way of house specialty salads then consider this flavorful compilation, which can be customized to include chicken or remain as is. Both options feature the same components—mixed greens dressed up with dried blueberries and cranberries, apples, sliced walnuts, croutons, and embracing lemon-poppy seed dressing.

Salads are unique in the way that they are often easier and quicker to prepare and come in such a versatile format to begin with. And as is the case more often than not, they are often customizable for guests looking to omit specific allergens or avoid unfavorable ingredients per an individual’s preference. This includes requesting no cheese, leaving out croutons, or having dressing served on the side.
